Named after a Native American tribe in whose native language Kansas means “people of the wind”, Kansas is the 15th largest state by land area and the 33rd most populous in the US. The state was formally established by the Nebraska-Kansas act on May 30th, 1854, though European Americans settled in the area at least 30 years earlier. Kansas State University’s College of Business Administration offers a variety of graduate undergraduate and graduate degree programs, all of which are designed to challenge students and provide a fundamental understanding of each student’s field of study. Undergraduate degrees offered through the College of Business Administration include majors in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. Master’s in Accountancy (M.Acc.) Degree
With a focus on fundamental accounting concepts, Kansas State University’s Master’s in Accounting provides students interested in achieving their CPA with the requisite 150 hours of education as well as an opportunity to earn a valuable graduate degree in their chosen field. This graduate degree requires 30 semester hours to complete. Three specializations are offered with this degree: Management Accounting/Controllership, Taxation, Financial Accounting & Auditing, and Enterprise Information Systems. Students wishing to enroll in Kansas State University’s M.Acc. program should have an undergraduate degree in accounting or complete key required accounting courses before applying.

This Master of Accounting degree is 30 semester credit hours in length, which allows accounting students wishing to earn their CPA the required 150 education hours. Students with an undergraduate degree in accounting can complete the program in one year, while students coming from other backgrounds typically take 11/2 to 2 years to complete this M.Acc.
