Master of Science in Accounting (MSA)

Building upon the foundation that admitted students received with an undergraduate business degree, the Master of Science in Accounting program is designed as an effective method for students to meet the educational requirements necessary to earn eligibility for certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Students in the master’s program must complete at least 18 hours of major accounting courses and 12 hours of approved electives outside the accounting department with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for completion. Within the 30-credit program, students are actively engaged in coursework on tax planning, accounting research, attestation principles, financial accounting, information systems, and managerial accounting.

Kelley School of Business

Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Accounting Major or Minor

Designed to help students reach their career goals through the right academic focus in a proven two-year curriculum that enables students to tailor their education with leadership global opportunities embedded, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program can be focused with a major or minor in accounting. After understanding the basics of business, students can specialize their studies to design their own academic schedule of electives in accounting within the second semester of the first year. In the program, students gain expertise in economics, finances, financial accounting, marketing, operations strategies, strategic management, taxation, and quantitative analysis for business decisions.

Mendoza School of Business
